Tips for an outstanding card

A picture on your PC screen will always look brighter than a printed version, because of the light that the screen emits. So when you’re taking your pics, ensure there is sufficient light. If you’re making pics with a lot of contract (big differences between the bright and dark parts), use your camera’s flash function.

Pictures taken outside will almost always be brighter, resulting in the best pictures to make a striking card.

What resolution do I need?

In general, every picture you take can be used to make a card.
However, pictures form 600KB will result in a good quality card.
The ideal resolution for a crisp picture would be 1MB and above. Most digital cameras will make picture of 1MB and higher- ensure that your camera is set to the highest resolution.
Yes, you will end up with bigger files to store, but the quality of the card will be superb.

Take several pics

Take several pics- they can always be deleted. You can’t plan which images will be the best and you may be surprised at what you see when you look at them on your PC later.
It’s best to take several pics and select the best to use for your cards later.
